The truth is, Pawsivo didn’t start as a business. It started in a shelter, on a grey afternoon, with two little animals who had almost run out of time.
We weren’t even planning to adopt that day. We’d gone in “just to look.” But in the back corner, past all the noise, was a quiet litter that nobody had chosen — and they were down to their last few days.
Among them sat Sandy, a soft golden pup with worried eyes, pressed up against the bars like she already knew she’d been overlooked. And curled right beside her, refusing to leave her side, was a scrappy little black-and-white kitten we’d come to call Jackie.
The two of them had grown up together in that shelter. A dog and a cat, somehow inseparable. The staff told us, gently, that if no one came for them soon… there wouldn’t be much more time.
The two who started it all.
